The Non-Metallic Innovation Centre (NIC) partners, TWI, Saudi Aramco and the ADNOC Group held their Technical Advisory Board (TAB) meeting on 24 January 2023.
The event saw ADV Integrity Inc’s Destructive Testing Director, Chantz Denowh give a speech on the subject of integrity management of non-metallic pipes and Phil Slack, who is the Head of Energy at the National Composites Centre, provide a speech on composites in the hydrogen economy.
As well as these presentations, the event included several breakout sessions where knowledge gaps in areas such as material properties, non-metallic assets, in-field performance data, simulation and standards were addressed in order to support the development of intelligent integrity management systems for non-metallic assets.
