This third edition of the conference and showcase will comprise two cutting-edge conferences; the Corrosion and Coatings Conference and the Steel and Non-Metallic Conference, including over 50 speakers from a range of leading industry giants.

Focussing on materials and metals corrosion prevention and management, asset integrity, and inspection, this event aims to help maximise profitability by adapting effective practices, technologies and innovation.

In addition to the presentations on offer, there will be an innovative solutions showcase, allowing attendees to explore the marketplace of cutting-edge products, solutions and services from technology suppliers and vendors.

MECOC 2024 will also provide ample opportunities to network and make connections with industry peers, decision-makers and potential clients.

About the NIC

TWI, Saudi Aramco Technologies Company (SATC) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), came together to form the Non-metallic Innovation Centre (NIC), a private technology innovation partnership and world-class research and technology development centre creating new applications for non-metallics in the oil and gas industry.

The NIC undertakes research programmes covering technologies with different maturity levels spread through Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 1-9.

NIC Partners are drawn from leading academic institutions, research centres and composite material manufacturers.

This is supported by the fact that the NIC is situated within TWI, allowing for access to cutting-edge facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories, including sophisticated permeation testing setups specifically designed for polymeric materials. The NIC’s permeation rigs enable rigorous performance testing of materials with various gas mixtures and hydrocarbons, greatly expanding the measurement capabilities for polymers.
