TWI and NIC expert, Ewen Kellar has won a consultancy contract with the UK Energy Institute to act as a trusted advisor and consultant in the development of guidelines on the use of polymer based repair compounds in integrity management of offshore oil and gas assets.
Dr Kellar will be the consultant for the development of Energy Institute document, ‘Guidelines on use of Polymer Based Repair Compounds in Integrity Management.’
The objective of the work is to develop a good practice guideline document under the auspices of the Energy Institute on the use of polymer based repair compounds in integrity management for the offshore oil and gas industry.
Dr Kellar’s work will include the collation of information for the drafting of guidelines based upon documentation and information from a range of sources, including the Energy Institute and its members.
This work will extend the work for the continued delivery of non-metallic pipeline solutions for industry.
